Hosted CI has no runner; the test suite runs serially with no lint step #13

No runner. .github/workflows/check.yml has never run on git.vlyons.net (Forgejo run 12 still waits), because no runner is registered for the instance (STATUS 7.0-ci). PR #1 has no CI result for the same reason.
Serial and slow. tools/check.py runs pytest serially: 2,211 tests, about 11-12.5 minutes on the operator's host on 2026-10-13. No single test dominates; the slowest 25 take about 3.5 minutes, including browser tests and the deliberate 30 s busy-timeout test.
No lint or type check. PR #1 removed several unused imports by hand.

Proposals:

Register a Forgejo runner (Docker, matching the clean-checkout run of 2026-10-01).
Consider pytest-xdist for the suite, checking that tests sharing .tmp-pytest and the browser fixtures stay isolated.
Add a ruff step (unused imports and names) to tools/check.py.
